English Paper Piecing, (often referred to as EPP), is the technique of folding fabric over paper templates and hand sewing these together.
The paper template shape ensures the blocks are accurate and also makes it easier to piece angles together.
English Paper Piecing, (EPP) requires only: paper, fabric, scissors, thread, and sewing needles, so it’s a great craft to take with you & also doesn’t require the investment of machine sewing/quilting.
You'll be addicted to making 'Hexies'!
On the day, you'll be making a mini/travel-sized pin cushion or a coaster, then when you're feeling comfortable, you can keep going to make your piece even bigger!
EPP is such a great way to use up your fabric stash, so they're not going to landfill!
You'll have access to new and pre-loved cotton fabrics, which you can use on the day. Fabrics will be available for you to buy, so you can continue EPP in your own time!
Feel free to bring your own fabric with you. Please ensure that it is clean and ironed.
Knowledge of using a sewing needle, thread and/or hand sewing is desirable, but not essential.
Make a mini/travel-sized pin cushion on the day, or a drinks coaster.
